Join Sophie for a guided, holistic and poetic experience that helps participants release tension, reconnect with themselves and share the collective spirit through yoga, rhythm, sound, and symbolic gestures. Starting with gentle warm-ups and stretching, we’ll wind through easy movements and repetition, flowing together through the magic of rhythm and group energy. Live drumming grounds the journey, connecting everyone to the heartbeat of the Earth. Rooted in community and seasonal cycles, this practice welcomes all emotions and celebrates the joy of being fully alive. No dance experience is needed ~ come as you are and leave rejuvenated! You’re invited to dress comfortably ~ you can dance barefoot, or wear non-slip socks or sneakers. A bottle of water and the willingness to let go and connect to the beat! RHYTHM REVIVAL! Follow the Drum with Sophie Bagot-Leurent

21st Annual HONK! Festival of Activist Street
Bands; this year's on-site U.S. bands total 35, plus
on-site video livestream participation from several international bands;
w/plenty of ways for audience participation.

The HONK! Festival was catapulted
into existence right here in the Somerville-area in 2006, initially with 3
local bands, 8 from across the U.S., and 1 travelling in from Vancouver. And
yes, HONK! has grown. There are now over 20 independent HONK!s (plus related
activist street band gatherings) operating around the world. With 35 U.S. bands
participating on-site specifically in Somerville/Cambridge this October. Let's
just say, there is a reason for that phenomenon! With the local Festival still
under the ongoing coordination of HONK!'s founding band, the Good Trouble Brass
Band (fka Second Line Social Aid & Pleasure Society Brass Band).

The 2026 list of HONK! on-site band
participants, with further details on each, can be found at honkfest.org/2026-festival/bands-2026/. The
full HONK! schedule will be made available in early October. In the meantime,

The Phantom of the Opera — Live in Concert
Experience the legendary 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera on the big screen, accompanied live by the New England Film Orchestra, conducted by Gina Naggar, performing Carl Davis’s acclaimed symphonic orchestral score.
Starring Lon Chaney in his iconic portrayal of the Phantom, Rupert Julian’s film was the first major screen adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel and remains one of the defining works of silent cinema.
Davis’s score draws heavily on Gounod’s Faust — the opera at the center of the film’s Paris Opera House setting — while creating a haunting musical identity for the Phantom himself. As Davis described it: “horror, pure horror.” Performed live alongside the film, the score heightens its romance, spectacle, suspense, and terror, transforming this silent masterpiece into an immersive concert-cinema experience.
Beneath the grandeur of the Paris Opera House lives a mysterious masked figure who has become obsessed with young singer Christine Daaé. When Christine discovers the truth behind the voice guiding her career, she is drawn into the Phantom’s hidden world beneath the theater, setting in motion a gothic tale of obsession, jealousy, and forbidden love.
A cinematic classic. A live orchestra. An unforgettable night at the movies.
