Grand Finale choreographed lighted DRONE SHOW to illuminate the evening sky. Plus Live Music, Food, Crafts, Inflatables.

2026 Marks the 250th Anniversary of America. In Haverford Township we are celebrating the semiquincentennial milestone with a FREE admission festival.
This signature event, ILLUMINATION 250 Festival will take place Saturday, August 29th at the Haverford High School Football Stadium with a Spectacular Lighted Choregraphed 300 Drone Show after a day of Live Music, dancing, children’s activities, crafters, food trucks and more.

IF YOU GO:
•	FREE Parking. Unmetered curbside street parking is available in the neighborhoods around the site. Please do not block driveways. Parking is permitted on the High School and Middle School lots. •	Parking is also available in municipal lots, Haverford Township building, Grace Chapel on the corner of Eagle and Darby Road. Uber, Lyft rideshare, is suggested to minimize long walks to the event. Limited Handicap spaces are available on all school and municipal lots. •	Alcohol, fireworks and weapons are not permitted to be brought into the field or elsewhere on the school property. •	Bicycles, E-bikes, skateboards, skates and scooters are not permitted inside the festival grounds. They must be parked in designated areas by the Middle and High Schools. •	Baby strollers are permitted. •	Pets are not permitted on festival grounds. •	Seating - Bring your own chair or blanket for seating on the field. Shade tents and umbrellas are permitted along with weights to secure them. Stakes of any kind are not permitted on the artificial turf field. Puncturing the artificial turf field with anything is Not Permitted.

Kelly Center

The music is called Vernon Papers, from singer-songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Drew Shanefield. Coming from a musical family in Philadelphia, Drew grew up playing trumpet and guitar and has spent his life immersed in music as a performer, teacher, composer, songwriter. It’s true, he has a Masters and a Doctorate, but please don’t call him Dr. And yes, some Haverford Township folks may know him.
In the studio, Drew plays every instrument and sings every vocal track. On stage, the Vernon Papers experience is largely a solo one. An acoustic, an electric and a notebook full of musings. The sound at times can be raw and from the depths, and at other times vulnerable and thoughtful. Always from the heart.
He is a member of the Philadelphia Folksong Society Musical Artists Cooperative and the Philadelphia Area Songwriters’ Alliance and is happy to make his Kelly Center debut.
KATHY QUINN/STEVE LESSICK
Kathy Quinn is a Delaware County native and a member of the Philadelphia Folksong Society Musical Artists Cooperative and the Philadelphia Area Songwriters’ Alliance. In 2025, she released her debut album, “Next 7 Miles”, a stylistically diverse collection of original songs that capture a surprising range of genres and moods. Influenced by traditional and contemporary folk, blues and classic country, she delivers an engaging performance, blending her background in theater and improv comedy with her musical presentation. She is delighted to return to the Kelly Center stage to share songs from the album and some new tunes. She is joined by Steve Lessick, a veteran of many Philadelphia-area music projects, who adds dynamic percussion and harmonica, along with rich vocal harmonies. <a href="https://kathyquinnmusic.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">https://kathyquinnmusic.com/</a>&nbsp;
