disABILITYsa’s mission is “to educate, advance, and engage people with disabilities by building connections, exchanging information, creating opportunities, and strengthening the disability community in the greater San Antonio area.” Our work centers on fostering independence and promoting equal access so youth, adults, and older adults with disabilities can experience a better quality of life in San Antonio.

Through information-sharing, resource navigation, leadership development, and community inclusion initiatives, we connect individuals and their support networks to programs, services, and opportunities that reduce barriers and build true belonging. disABILITYsa’s programs operate across four core pillars—educate, advance, engage, and strengthen—to provide direct supports, build disability leadership, train community partners, and influence community planning in areas such as housing, transportation, healthcare, social connection, civic engagement, employment, and education.

disABILITYsa’s vision is “where San Antonio is the #1 community where people with disabilities want to live, learn, work, and play,” and we serve as a catalyst for amplifying disability voices and reshaping systems so that vision becomes reality.
