The 44th Annual WICC Surfside Hotel <a href="https://www.bluefishtournament.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Greatest Bluefish Tournament on Earth</a> returns to Long Island Sound on Saturday, August 29, with fishing officially beginning at 12:01 a.m. Anglers from Connecticut and New York will compete for bragging rights—and a $25,000 grand prize awarded to the tournament's largest bluefish.
The weekend-long tournament features more than $40,000 in total cash prizes, including:
<ul>
 <li>1st Place: $25,000</li>
 <li>2nd Place: $7,500</li>
 <li>3rd Place: $2,500</li>
 <li>Smaller cash prizes awarded through 20th Place</li>
 <li>Port Prizes awarded for the heaviest bluefish weighed at each official Connecticut and New York weigh station (see below for complete list of weigh stations)</li>
</ul>
Young anglers, 17 and under, will also have the chance to win big. The tournament will award a $1,000 cash prize to the largest bluefish caught by a youth angler. Second and third place youth winners will receive $100 gift cards.
Anglers may register online at <a href="https://www.bluefishtournament.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">www.bluefishtournament.com</a>&nbsp;or in person at any official tournament registration location throughout Connecticut and New York/Long Island.

The registration deadline is Friday, August 28, at 11:59 p.m. Registration is $36 per angler and is required to participate. Fishing begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, and concludes at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30.
Throughout the tournament weekend, WICC, 99.1 PLR, STAR 99.9, and WEBE108 will provide hourly leaderboard updates and tournament results.

September 14th will bring the start of formal dance training for young dancers ages 3 &amp; up! Connecticut Ballet Center, official school of Connecticut Ballet, has openings Creative Movement &amp; Pre-Ballet for three and four-year-old girls &amp; a new Boys Ballet Class for our Saturday class program. The new class is open to boys ages 5-8 who would enjoy dancing alongside other boys &amp; with a male instructor. Connecticut Ballet Center is celebrating its 30th year of high-quality recreational and pre-professional training for aspiring dancers. Placement classes will take place after-school on September 2-3. Interested parents may schedule an orientation visit by emailing mgr@connecticutballetcenter.com. Connecticut Ballet Center presents Creative Movement and Boys Ballet Classes

The Disciples of Christ in Community (DOCC):&nbsp;Diving Deeper Into Your Faith Wednesdays, Sept.&nbsp;16 through Nov.&nbsp;18 (Dinner included at 6:15 pm on&nbsp;Oct. 7 &amp;&nbsp;28, Nov. 18) Christ Church Greenwich Campus
DOCC is a popular, transformative, and inspiring experience—an opportunity to connect deeply with others while exploring your faith and reflecting on what you believe.
Gather with the same small discussion group throughout the ten weeks, creating a space for honest conversation, meaningful connections, and deeper reflection.
Come curious, come open, and come ready to explore your faith in a welcoming community $125 per person covers the cost of food and non-alcoholic refreshments for 10 weeks. Participants need to be able to attend at least seven out of the ten classes in order for the small breakout groups to be effective.
