Precinct Totals In Dannan Win Over Davis In Braddock School Board Race

BURKE, VA — In Tuesday's special election for the open Braddock District on the Fairfax County School Board, Tom Dannan not only garnered 65.48 percent of the total votes cast, he swept all of the precincts, according to unofficial results.

Once all the votes were counted, Dannan had received 6,579 votes compared to Saundra Davis' 3,445, according to the Virginia Department of Elections.

Although school board candidates appear on the ballot as independents, they can be endorsed by a political party. Davis was endorsed by the Fairfax GOP and Dannan defeated Alexa Krezel in the Jan. 10 Firehouse Primary to win the Democratic Party's endorsement.

Dannan will serve the remainder of the term expiring in December 2027, filling the vacancy created by Rachna Sizemore Heizer's election to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 9, 2025.
