Floor plans for everyone
Hawthorne Green offers a variety of floor plans to choose from, including a brand-new design--the Verona. The 1,794-square-foot layout features two bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a den, which can serve as a reading nook, crafting space, or home office.

"There's also an 800-square-foot, one-bedroom home, perfect for incoming residents who wish to simplify their lifestyle," says Shope. "The 1,400-square-foot, two-bedroom layout is a great option for entertaining or hosting guests."
She adds, "The range of one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts were designed to suit different preferences."
Many homes overlooking the back side of campus feature screened porches with stunning wooded views.
"The screened porches and patios in Hawthorne Green were a big draw for many people," notes Abbie LaVelle, another sales counselor at Avery Point. "Now, residents are loving them!"
More important, every home in Hawthorne Green is maintenance-free, meaning that repairs are handled by the community's expert General Services team. Without the responsibility of to-do lists, residents have more time to take advantage of amenities and participate in activities.
Accessible amenities
Residents of Hawthorne Green enjoy convenient access to several amenities, some of which are just a short stroll down the hall.
"Before moving here, many people told us they sometimes felt isolated during snow and ice storms," says Shope. "Here, residents can travel throughout campus using the climate-controlled walkways. As a result, they never miss club and group meetings, exercise classes in the fitness center, swimming in the pool, or grabbing dinner with friends."
Hawthorne Green is connected directly to Preston Woods Clubhouse, home to The Cardinal Pub and The Cork and Fork, Avery Point's two newest dining venues. The Cardinal Pub offers casual dining with tableside service and a full bar, while The Cork and Fork provides a fine dining experience. Both restaurants feature outdoor seating for alfresco dining during the warmer months.
Preston Woods also features the Life Enrichment Center, a multipurpose space with seating for 200 people. It is often used for lectures, performances, exercise classes, and indoor pickleball.
"Hawthorne Green is the first residence building in our second neighborhood, so it will eventually connect to our next clubhouse, Sutton Square, which is scheduled to open in 2027," says Shope. "It's the puzzle piece that will connect the rest of the community."
Engaging activities
Residents of Hawthorne Green can also participate in more than 80 clubs and groups focused on a variety of interests, including history, woodworking, gardening, genealogy, and photography.
Avery Point offers 55 exercise classes each week ranging from cardio and strength training to chair yoga. Most are held in the state-of-the art fitness center, and daily water aerobics classes take place in the aquatics center.
Don't wait!
Shope and LaVelle encourage anyone interested in Hawthorne Green to join Avery Point's Priority List.
"When you join the Priority List, you save your spot in line for your desired floor plan," explains Shope. "Hawthorne Green is the last chance for people to lock in 2026 pricing for a brand-new building."
Kendall Run, the next residence building, won't open until the fall of 2027.
"If you've been thinking about a move to Avery Point, this is your opportunity!" adds LaVelle. "In addition to a brand-new home, you'll gain a worry-free lifestyle and access to a range of top-notch amenities and engaging activities."
