Join the WSU Extension Pierce County Master Gardeners on Saturday, August 8, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at the Gig Harbor Demonstration Garden for an engaging presentation on growing figs in our region.
You’ll learn:

Chapel Hill Church invites children ages 4 through 5th grade to Mega Sports Camp, a four-night summer sports camp happening August 3–6 from 6:00–9:00 pm in Gig Harbor. Kids can choose from PreK–K Sports Basics, baseball, basketball, cheer, Crafts &amp; Cooking, flag football, soccer, or volleyball. Each evening includes activity coaching, music, team interaction, and age-appropriate Bible teaching in a fun and welcoming environment.
Cost is $70 through July 19 and $80 beginning July 20. Scholarships are available.

Join us for a day of healing, inspiration, and community at the Wild Feminine Wellness Faire on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Crescent Creek Park in Gig Harbor.
Complimentary shuttle service will run throughout the event between Kimball Park &amp; Ride and Crescent Creek Park.&nbsp;This free, all-ages community event celebrates wellness, creativity, and women-owned businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest. Explore a thoughtfully curated marketplace featuring more than 30 local artisans, wellness practitioners, makers, authors, and small businesses while enjoying live music, holistic experiences, delicious food and coffee, and meaningful opportunities to connect.
Throughout the day, guests can participate in wellness workshops, contribute to a community Nature Mandala, relax in the Peace Pavilion, and bring little ones to enjoy nature-inspired activities in the Sprout Spot.
Whether you're looking to discover local businesses, nourish your well-being, learn something new, or simply spend a beautiful summer day in community, the Wild Feminine Wellness Faire offers a welcoming space to heal, empower, and connect.
Admission is FREE. Wellness workshops are available for a nominal energy exchange.

Plan ahead for the upcoming Parkland Resource Fair and Community Connection event on Wednesday, Aug. 12th, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Perry G Keithley Middle School, located at 12324 12th Ave. S. in Parkland.&nbsp;It is free and will have a lot of helpful information about our Parkland community.&nbsp;
This event will take place in two parts, and community members of all ages are welcome to attend either or both functions. 
Part one is from 5 to 6 p.m. It is a resource fair with entities that provide direct services in the Parkland area. Part two is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It is a live presentation from county staff, including the Sheriff’s Office, code enforcement, senior services, parks, and more. Following short informational presentations, we will answer questions.

Chapel Hill Church in Gig Harbor is launching The Parenting Course this fall, a practical and encouraging experience designed for parents of children ages 0–18.
Led live by Pastors Ellis and Rachel White, the course will help parents strengthen family relationships, build healthier rhythms at home, navigate modern parenting challenges, and create stronger emotional connection within the family.
Each evening includes practical teaching, small-group table discussion, and opportunities for encouragement and community with other parents. 
When: Wednesdays, Oct 7–Nov 4 | 6:00–8:00 pm
