Comcast recently brought the Hunt.Fish.Feed. Heroes Lunch to Joint Base Lewis-McChord for the first time, joining Sportsman Channel and USO Northwest to serve hundreds of service members, veterans, and military families at the Camp Lewis USO Center. The event offered free meals and a celebration of service, sacrifice, and community.

Comcast employee volunteers worked alongside the Hunt.Fish.Feed. culinary team to prepare and serve a menu led by Chef Paul Comes, including venison tacos, street corn salad, southwest coleslaw, and fresh fruit salad. Together, the partners created a welcoming space where military families could share lunch, connect, and feel the support of the broader community.

Hunt.Fish.Feed. is a national Sportsman Channel initiative that uses wild game and fish to create nutritious meals for people and communities in need. For nearly two decades, the program has served tens of thousands of meals across the country, combining outdoor traditions with community service. Bringing the program to JBLM offered a meaningful way to recognize those who serve, along with the families who serve alongside them.

The Hunt.Fish.Feed. Heroes Lunch is part of Comcast’s broader commitment to active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Through the Xfinity Military Program, qualified new and existing Xfinity customers can access benefits designed to help military families stay connected, including a free Unlimited Xfinity Mobile line for 24 months when adding a line with Xfinity Internet, NOW TV for one year, and automatic Xfinity Diamond Rewards status. Eligible military customers can also receive a Peacock Military Discount for $3.99 per month for one year.

Comcast NBCUniversal also supports military communities through digital access and skills-building efforts. Through Project UP, the company partners with military community-serving organizations nationwide to provide digital skills programs, entrepreneurship opportunities and access to essential broadband and technology. The company’s Internet Essentials program helps connect veterans and military families to the internet for as low as $14.95 per month.

The Heroes Lunch builds on Comcast’s recent support for military families at JBLM. Last week, more than 700 military service members, veterans and family members gathered at Carey Theater for the Comcast Military Families Free Minions & Monsters Watch Party, a series of special screenings presented by Comcast in partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and Lollipop Theater Network. Families enjoyed snacks, giveaways, photo opportunities, and time together in a setting designed to recognize their service and sacrifices.

Together, the Hunt.Fish.Feed. Heroes Lunch and the Minions & Monsters Watch Party reflect a consistent priority: showing up for the military community in personal, practical ways centered on connection. Comcast employees also played an important role at the watch party by welcoming attendees, distributing snacks, managing registration, supporting theater seating, and helping reset the venue between screenings. Their service was part of Team UP, Comcast’s employee volunteer program, which encourages employees to contribute their time, talents, and resources to nonprofits, schools, military organizations, and community events.

For Comcast and its partners, these events are tangible ways to say thank you. Whether serving lunch, creating a family movie experience, or helping military households stay connected, Comcast’s support for service members, veterans, and military families is rooted in gratitude, partnership, and a commitment to stronger, more connected communities.
