Breadsmith Planning to Move Next Door

The transition will take place in early 2014.

Whitefish Bay's Breadsmith shop will be relocating, but it shouldn't be hard to find the new location.

The localΒ breadΒ franchise at 418 E. Silver Spring Dr. has plans toΒ move next door to the space at 420 Silver Spring Dr., which wasΒ previously occupied byΒ Ruhama's Yarn and Needlepoint. The store expects to stay in its current location until making the moveΒ in the first part of 2014.

Breadsmith's marketing manager KristiΒ Carlson said the Whitefish BayΒ store was in the market for a new space, because sales are up and more employees have been added: one manager and several others inΒ production andΒ retail. To accommodate their growth, they jumped at the opportunity to gain anΒ additional 450 square feet in the old Ruhama's space.

"This allows us to relocate to a new space without skipping a beat or closing for construction," Carlson said. "We're hoping forΒ a completely seamless transition, where customers willΒ walkΒ in one door onΒ one day and walk inΒ another door the next day."Β

The store will also use the relocation as an opportunity to upgrade its equipment and redesign its retail lobby to better serve customers.
