• Athens High SRO taken to hospital following student-teacher scuffle (whnt.com) — An Athens High School resource officer was treated and released from Athens-Limestone Hospital after being struck by a male student during a Thursday morning incident that began as a student-teacher scuffle. Athens Police responded quickly, no weapons were involved, and the student is now undergoing evaluation while the department continues its investigation.
