With prosecutors now vowing to seek the maximum sentence at a February trial, Mobile residents will see this case move from a proposed plea to a full courtroom showdown.

The deal would fund more deputies, a domestic-violence investigator, and continued 911 and major-crime coverage while Prichard rebuilds and re-vets its own police department.

A New Jimmy Buffett Experience Just Opened for Fans—And It Includes More Than 130 Pieces From His Life (parade.com) — Mobile residents can now explore a permanent Jimmy Buffett exhibition at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf, featuring more than 130 artifacts and immersive concert elements. The waterfront exhibit highlights Buffett's local roots and maritime family history, and is open Wednesday through Sunday with admission covering both the experience and general museum entry.
