• Coast Guard Rescues Four from Ice Floe Near Chefornak After Overnight Ordeal (radiokenai.com) — Rescuers from Air Station Kodiak flew through poor visibility, blowing snow, and icing to hoist three adults and a child from an ice floe near Chefornak after more than 24 hours stranded. Launching both a helicopter and fixed‑wing aircraft from Kodiak, crews relied on the hunters’ satellite communications to locate them and return everyone safely with no reported injuries.
