• Proposed cement plant next to Equestrian Center approved (inbuckeye.com) — A new sand, gravel, and cement batch plant next to the Buckeye Equestrian Center has been unanimously approved by the City of Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission, with 21 operating conditions attached. Equestrian Center leaders say they won’t oppose the project as long as those enforceable rules limit dust, noise, and truck impacts on their horses, visitors, and nearby RV park.

• Buckeye approves annexation & rezoning of land (westvalleyview.com) — Buckeye has approved annexing nearly 1,900 acres and rezoning over 2,200 acres to enable a massive rail‑served industrial hub with optional housing and commercial space. The long-term plan could bring major employers, new infrastructure, and possibly thousands of homes, with the developer funding key roads, utilities, and a temporary public safety station.

• Top fleet operations honored at NAFA's 2026 Institute & Expo in Cleveland (fleetowner.com) — A City of Buckeye fleet technician, Jerry Dake, has been named NAFA’s 2026 Fleet Technician of the Year, bringing national recognition to the city’s vehicle operations. The honor highlights Buckeye’s commitment to safe, efficient fleet management alongside top public and commercial fleets across the Americas.
