The nonprofit offers 12–15 week, no-cost courses with hands-on training, and demand is strong enough that a satellite campus in Chandler is being considered for future classes.
   

2. Nurse hospitalized, officers assaulted after two disturbances at Oasis Behavioral Health in Chandler (abc15.com) — Chandler police say two major disturbances at Oasis Behavioral Health near Arizona Avenue and Warner left a nurse hospitalized and several staff and officers assaulted after juveniles broke into a medication room. One juvenile was arrested on an aggravated assault charge, and the facility has generated more than 270 police reports this year. Officials described the scene as chaotic as they worked to restore order.

Chandler's Latino Leaders Program aims to inspire the next generation (abc15.com) — Chandler’s Latino Leaders Program is giving local high school students direct access to prominent figures like U.S. Sen. Ruben Gallego and Arizona Supreme Court Justice Maria Elena Cruz during Hispanic Heritage Month. Through this city and Chandler Unified partnership, more than 660 students now explore leadership, law, and public service while hearing practical advice they can apply to their own futures.
   

4. Sun Lakes Rotary Club donates dictionaries to Chandler and Gila River students (azfamily.com) — Third graders across Chandler Unified School District are receiving free dictionaries thanks to a long-running donation effort by the Sun Lakes Rotary Club. The group is distributing about 4,000 books this year to support the district’s push to raise third-grade reading proficiency, addressing Arizona’s broader challenge with low literacy rates among young students.
