Grijalva Secures More Than $15 Million for Community Projects Across Southern Arizona in House Appropriations Bills (house.gov) — Douglas stands to receive nearly $1 million in proposed federal funding to upgrade the Port of Entry’s drinking water system and expand local diabetes care through Chiricahua Community Health Centers. These projects would boost water pressure, support cross-border commerce, and bring better screening and medication delivery to Douglas-area patients. The funding is included in House FY 2027 appropriations bills but still needs final approval.
