Applications open June 15 for 30 days, with interviews and a possible appointment set for late August. The dispute centers on whether Conchas’ elected role on the Salt River Project board counts as prohibited compensated public office.

Vargas Presser » June 11, 2026 (fightnews.com) — Glendale’s Desert Diamond Arena is hosting a major DAZN boxing card Saturday, headlined by Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez challenging Antonio Vargas for the WBA World bantamweight title. Promoter Eddie Hearn expects more than 10,000 fans and calls it one of the year’s best cards, with multiple title fights and local fighters featured. Fight week events include a public weigh-in Friday at the arena.
