• Mohave County could seek federal help with booming burro population (mohavedailynews.com) — Golden Valley residents are at the center of Mohave County's push for federal help managing an overgrown wild burro population that has already caused crashes and property damage in the area. Supervisors will vote Tuesday on sending a letter to the Interior Department seeking long-term funding for humane population control, safety improvements, and protection of local roads, property, and desert ecosystems.
   

• River City Newspapers to acquire Northern Arizona newspapers in joint venture (mohavedailynews.com) — Golden Valley readers are part of a growing regional news network as River City Newspapers prepares to take over four Northern Arizona publications while already serving Golden Valley and nearby Mohave County cities. The joint venture between Western News&Info and Wick Communications aims to strengthen long-term ownership and expand coverage across Coconino, Yavapai, Navajo and western Arizona communities.
