Man Dies After Car Slams Into Semi Truck In West Phoenix

Phoenix police said the driver of a passenger car died after a crash involving a semi in west Phoenix early Monday.

PHOENIX, AZ — A man died early Monday after his car crashed into the back of a semi truck in west Phoenix, according to police.

The crash was reported around 2 a.m. near 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street. According to reports, the passenger vehicle struck the rear of the semi, and the man driving the car died at the scene.

The truck driver was not injured.

Preliminary information indicates the passenger car failed to stop before hitting the truck, officials said. No other injuries were reported.
