• Granite Hotshot Remembrance June 30 (myradioplace.com) — Prescott will honor the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots with local remembrance events on June 29 and 30, including a tribute ceremony at the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center. Residents are invited to gather again at the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza for a moment of reflection as the courthouse bells ring 19 times in their memory.
   

• Watson Lake Car Show Brings Classic Cars to Prescott (signalsaz.com) — Prescott residents can head to Watson Lake Park this weekend, June 13–14, for the 51st Annual Watson Lake Car Show featuring hundreds of classic and custom vehicles. Hosted by the Prescott Antique Auto Club, the cash-only event includes a swap meet, car corral, Route 66 tribute, and a special First Responders Day on Sunday with free admission for local emergency personnel.
   

• Death penalty dropped as Brawley homicide case continues to expand (ttownmedia.com) — A Brawley homicide case with no longer a death penalty option now includes a Prescott connection, after a second suspect was arrested here with help from Prescott Police and U.S. Marshals. Both defendants remain charged in California, where delays over evidence and extradition have repeatedly pushed back the preliminary hearing expected to reveal more about the February killing.
