• Credit Union Awards $260K to Expand Education and Workforce Opportunities (inbusinessphx.com) — Several Tempe programs are getting a boost from Desert Financial Credit Union's $260,000 in statewide grants, including youth mentorship through Future for Kids and inclusive preschool services via the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center. These multi-year awards aim to expand education, workforce readiness, and support for children and teens in Tempe and neighboring cities.
   

• Arizona State University wins $2 million to test water reuse technology for chip factories (wheninyourstate.com) — ASU is using a new $2.06 million federal grant to test advanced water-reuse technology at its MacroTechnology Works facility in Tempe, aiming to help chip factories cut fresh water use without risking production. Researchers will run factory-like trials in Tempe, generating data that could turn local pilot systems into licensable products for semiconductor plants nationwide as Arizona's chip industry and water pressures grow.
