1. Pima County Resurrects COVID-Era Eviction Legal Services Program With New Federal Funds (azfreenews.com) — Tucson and Pima County are reviving free eviction legal services using nearly $1 million from a federal PRICE grant awarded to the city, with help expected for about 250 at-risk households. The program, run through Pima County's Emergency Eviction Legal Services, can also offer short-term rent and utility assistance, focusing on manufactured-housing neighborhoods and building on thousands of cases served during the pandemic.
   

2. 1,500 people climb Tucson Convention Center stairs to honor lives lost on 9/11 (kgun9.com) — More than 1,500 people filled the stairs at the Tucson Convention Center for the 9/11 Tower Challenge, honoring first responders by climbing the equivalent of 110 floors. Tucson police, firefighters, county officials, and residents of all ages joined to remember the attacks 25 years later, emphasizing public service, sacrifice, and keeping the history alive for younger generations.

AZ minimum wage to increase to $15.65 in Jan. 2027 (kawc.org) — Starting January 2027, Tucson's minimum wage is set to rise to $16 an hour, slightly above the new statewide rate of $15.65, thanks to the city's own ordinance and inflation adjustment.
