• Vail woman nearly loses $14K in PayPal text scam (kvoa.com) — A Vail woman narrowly avoided losing $14,000 after responding to a fake PayPal text and being instructed to withdraw and mail cash, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Detectives say she was saved by quick-thinking family members and are urging Vail residents to ignore unexpected refund messages, avoid calling unknown numbers, and never send cash to strangers.
