• Arkansas Law Act 314 changes city-county land zoning practices (thv11.com) — A new Arkansas law, Act 314, immediately limits Bryant’s ability to guide development just outside city limits, shifting that power solely to Saline County. Cities like Bryant and Benton can no longer use extra‑territorial jurisdiction for zoning or infrastructure planning, and must now rely on annexation and pre‑annexation agreements to extend services like sewer and water to nearby growth areas.
   

• Wallene Rene Frazier (ozarkradionews.com) — Bryant residents are among the close family mourning Wallene Renee Frazier, a longtime banking professional and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who passed away June 7 in Glencoe, Arkansas. Her son Joe Frazier and daughter Nicole Frazier, both of Bryant, survive her, along with many grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, and extended family who remember her warmth and creativity.
