• 'They saved my life': Teen rescued from White River (nwahomepage.com) — A Huntsville teen is recovering after Huntsville firefighters executed a difficult water rescue on the flooded White River near Elkins, battling strong currents for over an hour to reach her. The 17-year-old and her family are publicly thanking the Huntsville Fire Department, whose specialized swift-water training and teamwork brought her safely back to shore and home to her loved ones.
