Police urge motorists to allow extra time, especially during morning and afternoon rush hours, and to stay off phones in work and school zones so everyone gets where theyāre going safely.

Jonesboro Man Accused of Sexually Grooming Child (jonesbororightnow.com) ā A Jonesboro man has been jailed on a felony charge of sexually grooming a child after an investigation that included interviews with the victim, other children, and a recorded family confrontation. Heās being held in Craighead County on a $75,000 bond with no-contact and GPS-monitor conditions, while local and national hotlines are highlighted for anyone facing sexual or domestic violence.

A-State Alumnus Awarded Prestigious Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship (astate.edu) ā In Jonesboro State University is celebrating recent graduate Rocco Hicks, who has earned an $8,500 Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship to help fund his first year at the University of Arkansas School of Law. The Prattsville native credits AāState mentors, scholarships, and leadership opportunities for preparing him, and encourages current students to seek out similar nationally competitive awards through the campus scholarship office.
