• Locals among Arkansas governor's appointments - (arkadelphian.com) — Smackover residents Jennifer Davis and Amy Wilson have been appointed to the Board of Trustees of South Arkansas College, giving the town a direct voice in regional higher‑education decisions. The governor’s announcement also lists dozens of other Arkansans tapped for statewide boards and commissions, from petroleum storage tanks to professional engineers and criminal justice training.
