Jones Center receives $1.2 million Walmart grant to create āregional volunteer center' (nwahomepage.com) ā A new regional volunteer center is coming to downtown Springdale, thanks to a $1.2 million Walmart grant to the Jones Center. Based at the Jones Community for Nonprofits campus, it will coordinate volunteers, support local nonprofits, and help students and SNAP recipients meet new service requirements while strengthening community connections across Northwest Arkansas.

2. Springdale police lieutenant retires amid internal investigation: What we know (nwahomepage.com) ā Springdale residents are being told that a longtime police lieutenant has retired following an internal investigation into how he handled an April 5 noise complaint on North Oak Street. The department says his actions didnāt meet its policies and standards but, citing state law and the Freedom of Information Act, is releasing no further details and considers the matter closed.
