• These musicians are providing the soundtrack for anti-ICE protests in LA (kpbs.org) — Musicians with Los Jornaleros del Norte recently turned a flatbed truck into a mobile stage outside the immigration detention center in Adelanto, hoping their protest songs would reach detainees inside. The long-running band now travels across Southern California to support anti-ICE protests, honor immigrants killed during raids, and use upbeat cumbias and ballads to channel grief into collective resilience. 
• Sheinbaum orders increased scrutiny of U.S. detention centers after deaths of Mexicans in custody (adn.com) — Mexican officials are increasing oversight of U.S. immigration detention centers, including the Adelanto ICE Processing Center in Southern California, after multiple Mexican nationals died in custody. Adelanto is specifically cited in a federal class-action lawsuit alleging abuse and poor conditions, and Mexico plans to support that case while pressing U.S. authorities and international bodies for investigations and accountability.
