Animal Control Rescue Raccoon Stranded On Rooftop in Alameda
"The little guy had been stuck up there overnight and couldn't find his way back down," police said.

ALAMEDA, CA — A small raccoon in Alameda learned the sky really is the limit after getting stranded on a rooftop on Monday.
All hope seemed lost for the "little guy," who made its way up to a hangar roof at Alameda Point on Monday but couldn't find its way down, the Alameda Police Department said.
That is, until a miraculous white crane shot to the rooftop. On it, an Animal Control officer carried a large crate that, on any other occasion, would surely concern the masked creature.

The officer secured the "frightened" raccoon took it back down to solid ground, police said. It's unclear whether the raccoon was released afterward or taken elsewhere for treatment.
"A big thank-you to our Public Works crew and ACO Crum for going above and beyond to help one of our furry residents in need," police said. "No matter how high the call takes us, Alameda’s Animal Control Team is ready to rise to the occasion!"
