• City Council to Weigh Immigration Enforcement Limits, Review Guaranteed Income Results (alamedapost.com) — Alameda City Council will soon decide whether to bar civil immigration enforcement operations on city-owned property, review results from the Rise Up Alameda guaranteed income pilot, and vote on leasing space at Alameda Point to Longshot Space Technologies. The October 6 meeting also offers residents multiple ways to comment in person or via Zoom on these policies that shape local equity, public safety, and waterfront development.
   

• It's Time For You To Attend RADwood, Because Now It's Free And Also We're Bringing A Vector (theautopian.com) — A free-to-attend RADwood car show celebrating 1980s and '90s vehicles is coming to Alameda's Gold Bar Hangar on Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. With live DJs, food trucks, a wild builder showdown, and a new class for early-2000s cars, it's a rare chance for Alameda gearheads and families to enjoy a big Bay Area auto event without leaving town.
   

• Two-Item Tuesday: Ribbon Cutting on Central Ave. in Alameda (streetsblog.org) — Alameda cyclists and families now have a protected bikeway along Central Avenue serving Encinal Junior & Senior High and Paden Elementary, with new roundabouts and bus-boarding islands improving safety near Washington Park. While some stretches still rely on painted lanes, the project is already heavily used by students, and the piece also highlights a small but important pedestrian-space victory in downtown Santa Rosa.
