Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run On 880 Freeway
The incident occurred on northbound I-880, just south of 29th Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said.
OAKLAND, CA — A pedestrian was killed Friday in a hit-and-run collision on Interstate Highway 880 in the Jingletown neighborhood of East Oakland's Fruitvale district, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident occurred about 8:15 p.m. on northbound I-880, just south of 29th Avenue, the highway patrol said. The neighborhood lies between the Coast Guard Island Bridge and the Fruitvale Bridge.
No details on the age or gender of the victim or a description of the vehicle were available, CHP Officer Cindy Ramirez said.
