• Rocklin voters may decide on half-cent sales tax. How does it stack up across Placer County? (sacbee.com) — Rocklin voters will decide in November whether to add a half‑cent local sales tax, which would leave Auburn, Colfax, Lincoln and unincorporated Placer County as the only areas still at the state’s minimum 7.25% rate. The measure could raise about $8 million annually for Rocklin’s public safety, parks, wildfire prevention, and other city services, highlighting differing tax approaches across nearby communities.
