• Mosquito control treatments scheduled in La Puente this week (theeastsiderla.com) — Overnight mosquito control treatments are scheduled Wednesday and Thursday just west of Azusa, in La Puente between Azusa Way and Chatterton Avenue, amid a sharp rise in West Nile virus cases countywide. Crews will spray adulticide and larvicide from trucks, while residents are urged to dump standing water, maintain pools, and use repellent to reduce mosquito bites.
