Lane And Ramp Closures Planned For 605 Freeway In Baldwin Park Starting Monday

Caltrans crews will be conducting paving and enhancement work along the 605 Freeway corridor.

BALDWIN PARK, CA — Motorists were advised of overnight lane and ramp closures on the 605 Freeway between Santa Fe Springs and Baldwin Park starting Monday, the city announced on Monday.

The closures will be in effect from Oct. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 8 as Caltrans crews conduct paving and enhancement work along the 605 Freeway corridor.

As construction continues, ramps in both directions will be closed sequentially, but no two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time, according to Caltrans.

Motorists were encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and consider taking the 710 Freeway or 5 Freeway as alternate routes.

Caltrans said closures are subject to change. Motorists were advised to follow posted signage, use caution in construction areas, and drive safely.
