• Three Arrested in Connection With August Baldwin Park Shooting (baldwinparknewsonline.com) — Three people have been arrested after an August 19 shooting on Laurens Avenue in Baldwin Park, following a SWAT-assisted search that turned up a handgun, evidence, and a bullet-riddled red Hyundai sedan. Police believe the suspects are tied to gang activity and possibly other local crimes, and are asking anyone with information to contact the Baldwin Park Police Department's Gang Activity Prevention Unit. 
• SGV football Top 30 rankings: Bishop Amat remains on top; La Serna to No. 3 (fresnobee.com) — Baldwin Park High's football team has climbed to No. 8 in the San Gabriel Valley Top 30 after a strong 39-21 win over California, and is eyeing a Hacienda League title run. Local fans can next see the Braves at home Thursday night against Sierra Vista, with more reinforcements expected once the sit-out period ends.
