Driver Killed After SUV Veers Off 60 Freeway, Crashes Into Electric Fence: CHP

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — One person was killed after an SUV veered off the westbound 60 Freeway and crashed through an electric fence late Thursday night in Jurupa Valley, authorities said.
The crash was reported ar0und 10 p.m. just east of the Etiwanda Avenue off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP the SUV's driver swerved to avoid hitting a big rig and lost control, going off the freeway and crashing into the electric fence of a business before overturning. The CHP was told there was no movement inside the SUV.

The Riverside County Coroner's office was called to the scene around 10:49 p.m., the CHP said.
All westbound lanes were temporarily shutdown east of Etiwanda Avenue.
