Human Remains Found On Apple Valley Property

An autopsy will be conducted, and DNA results are pending, according to the sheriff's department.

APPLE VALLEY, CA — A newly purchased Apple Valley property was the scene of a startling discovery last week.

Human remains were found just before 8:30 p.m. Friday at the site located in the 19000 block of Crest Drive.

"The property had been recently purchased, and while walking around the location, the reporting party discovered human remains," according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies were called to the site and the property was secured, according to the sheriff's department.

The area was searched and multiple bones were collected.

"A preliminary examination revealed no obvious signs of trauma to the remains," the sheriff's department reported. "An autopsy will be conducted, while additional information is pending DNA results for the identification of the remains."
