Input Sought On Riverside County's Regional Parks, Open-Space Areas, Cultural Sites

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside County park officials are asking residents to help shape the future of local public lands, trails, and recreational facilities as the agency begins work on its Long Range Facilities Master Plan, authorities announced Tuesday.

The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District, known as RivCoParks, is launching a series of six public outreach sessions running through Oct. 3. The feedback gathered will help the district evaluate current amenities, identify community needs, and prioritize future taxpayer investments across the county's park system.

"Community input is an important part of this planning process," Riverside County Supervisor Jose Medina said in a statement. "The people who visit and enjoy our parks bring valuable perspectives about what is working well, what may be needed and where opportunities exist for the future."

The outreach schedule includes in-person meetings across each of the county’s five supervisorial districts, as well as a virtual session for residents unable to attend in person. Each meeting will allow members of the public to meet with the project team and submit recommendations.

Residents who cannot attend the workshops can participate by taking an online survey.
