A late fumble return touchdown and big runs from quarterbacks Elijah Nelson and Preston Wright helped the Panthers avenge last year's loss and showcase a tougher, more disciplined defense. 
• Solano coalition warns of water supply threat (thereporter.com) — Benicia is part of a broad Solano County coalition urging Gov. Newsom's administration to adjust a proposed Bay-Delta water plan they say could sharply cut local water deliveries. City and business leaders warn that reduced Lake Berryessa supplies could threaten housing, jobs, agriculture, and Travis Air Force Base, and they're pushing the state to instead rely on the existing Putah Creek Accord framework.
