Double Stabbling Leaves One Dead In Richmond; Suspect At Large: Police

The suspect remains at large.

RICHMOND, CA — Police say they're investigating a double stabbing in Richmond that left one person dead Tuesday night.

It's unclear what led up to the stabbing, and the suspect remains at large, with police saying Wednesday there were no details about them available for release.

Officers responded around 11:18 p.m. to the 1700 block of Wood Place, where they found two people who'd been stabbed several times, according to the Richmond Police Department.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital, but one died from their injuries, police said.

The other victim is in stable condition and is expected to survive, police said. Police did not release either person's identity.

Police say this appeared to be an isolated incident and that there is no active threat to the community at this time.
