• California drive-thru lets Los Angeles County residents drop off paint, batteries, and e-waste free (thecooldown.com) — Beverly Hills residents can safely clear out old paint, batteries, electronics, and other hazardous household waste at a free drive-thru drop-off on Sept. 19 along West 3rd Street near Foothill Road and Civic Center Drive. Open to all Los Angeles County residents, the event limits each trip to 125 pounds or 15 gallons and aims to keep toxic materials out of landfills and waterways.
