1. 15-year-old arrested after alleged alcohol theft attempt at Blue Lake gas station (krcrtv.com) — A 15-year-old was arrested in Blue Lake after deputies and Blue Lake Tribal Police say he stole a bottle of alcohol from the Patriot Gas Station on Blue Lake Boulevard and allegedly used pepper spray and a knife while fleeing. Officers later detained him near Blue Lake City Hall, and he was booked into Juvenile Hall on robbery charges.

Nichole Thorpe arraigned in Humboldt County on 2022 child homicide (times-standard.com) — Blue Lake is directly tied to a major homicide case, as authorities say the body of 2-year-old CarmenEve Faith Robison was found there in December 2023, leading to charges against her mother, Nichole Thorpe. Thorpe has now been arraigned in Humboldt County on homicide, child abuse, and fraud charges, with a preliminary hearing setting date scheduled for September 10.

Dominick Antonelli Performing at Blue Lake Casino June 25 (kymkemp.com) — Blue Lake residents can catch guitarist and composer Dominick Antonelli live at Blue Lake Casino and Hotel on Thursday, June 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. On his first national tour, Antonelli blends guitar, alternate tunings, and a background in integrative health to create an immersive, meditative musical experience.
   

4. Back Seat Drivers to play at Logger Bar (times-standard.com) — Blue Lake music fans can hear The Back Seat Drivers at the Logger Bar on Thursday, June 18, from 4 to 6 p.m., with no cover charge. The band features local musicians playing Delta Piedmont blues and topical originals, alongside other regional music and dance events listed for Fortuna and Eureka.
