(heysocal.com) — Blythe’s only hospital is losing its longtime CEO just as Riverside County steps in with emergency funding and a strike team to keep the emergency room open. The bankrupt Palo Verde Hospital, still in Chapter 9, relies on county loans and Medi-Cal credit to maintain lifesaving services for nearly 20,000 area residents while long-term control and leadership remain uncertain.
