• Two Plead Guilty to Orchestrating $1.5M Burbank `Deed-Snatch' Scheme (mynewsla.com) — A Burbank homeowner allegedly had his $1.5 million house fraudulently sold using stolen identities, and two Los Angeles men have now pleaded guilty in federal court for their roles. Prosecutors say forged IDs, deeds, and a sham escrow process helped move nearly $1 million in loan proceeds, with multiple victims including the original owner, buyer, lender, and title company.

• Burroughs Softball Knocks Off Burbank 11-1 (myburbank.com) — Burroughs High’s softball team dominated rival Burbank 11–1 at a packed Olive Park, ending the Pacific League matchup by mercy rule on Senior Night. Junior pitcher Valentina Reyes led the Bears with seven strikeouts, while teammates Chloe Zavala and Karlee Earl powered the offense with multiple hits and RBIs. Burbank’s young squad showed fight, and coaches on both sides praised their players’ effort.

• Famous vintage market comes to Chicago (axios.com) — A popular Los Angeles-born vintage market that started at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank has grown so much it’s now popping up in cities like Chicago, San Francisco, and New York. The show brings dozens of curated vintage clothing and accessory vendors together, reflecting how mainstream vintage fashion has become. Its founder hopes to keep expanding the event’s national footprint.
