• Burlingame, CA: Caltrain Service Disrupted After Vehicle Hit by Southbound Train (theunionstar.com) — Caltrain commuters in and around Burlingame faced hour‑plus delays Wednesday evening after a southbound train hit a car at the Broadway crossing near town, snarling the Peninsula commute. No serious injuries were initially reported, but the incident renewed long‑standing concerns about safety at that at‑grade crossing and added pressure for faster grade‑separation projects along the corridor.
