3 People, 1 Dog Displaced In San Jose House Garage Fire

The Red Cross was contacted to aid an adult, two children and one dog. A second dog perished, firefighters said.

SAN JOSE, CA — A family of three was displaced Saturday night in a single-story residential fire in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of San Jose, firefighters said.

The blaze in a garage in the 1400 block of Mount Whitney Drive was reported about 7:30 p.m. and was declared under control about 8:50 p.m.

The Red Cross was contacted to aid an adult, two children and one dog. A second dog perished, firefighters said.
