Adventures in Jazz 2026 at the San Ramon Library returns for a new season of fine jazz!   The season’s third show, set for Saturday, November 14th, features the John Santos Quartet!  Seven-time Grammy nominee, percussionist, and renowned musicologist John Santos brings the HEAT! This phenomenal Quartet with Marcos Dias (keyboards), Saul Sierra (bass), and David Flores (drums) will rock the House, serving up hot Latin jazz grooves that make you Muevelo! The landmark 10th free Bay Area Kids' Book Fair is coming to San Ramon THIS Sunday. 
On Saturday, the Book Fair will be in Cupertino.
The East Bay Fair Sunday is at Pine Valley Middle School, 3000 Pine Valley Rd. in San Ramon off San Ramon Valley Blvd.
All-time favorite children’s books characters Elephant &amp; Piggie plus movie stars Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story will be on hand each day to meet and greet their fans of all ages at the Bay Area Kids’ Book Fair.
Storytelling with authors each day at the Book Fair is sponsored by Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. The Fair features authors, illustrators, publishers and educational programs.
The Book Fair is open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with free admission and free parking at each site.
The first 200 families daily will get a free book backpack compliments of Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate. They will receive a free raffle ticket for each donated can.

Earth Rhythms Circle is an ongoing seasonal gathering at Heirloom East Bay designed to help us slow down, connect, and join together in meaningful community.
Each circle is inspired by the season and offers thoughtfully curated guided practices, ceremonies, and activities to deepen our connection to nature, ourselves, and each other.
You don’t need to follow a particular spiritual tradition or have any previous experience. Come as you are, participate at your own pace, and connect in whatever way feels meaningful to you.
<h2>🌿 Why Gather?</h2>
Throughout human history, gathering has been woven into the rhythms of life. With music, art, and ceremony, we have gathered together to mark seasons, share stories, celebrate, reflect, and support each other through the seasons of life.
Modern life can make connection harder to find. At times, many of us move through our days feeling disconnected—from nature, from meaning, from our creativity, and sometimes from one another.
Earth Rhythms Circle offers a space to reconnect.
Together, we’ll create opportunities to slow down, notice the season we’re in, reconnect with the natural world, and remember that we don’t have to move through life alone.
<h2>🌾 The Setting</h2>
We gather at Heirloom East Bay, a beautiful working farm in the Castro Valley hills.
Surrounded by open land, gardens, and animals—including the resident goats!—the farm offers a unique opportunity to step away from everyday life and be more present with the natural world.
<h2>✨ What a Typical Circle Includes</h2>
Each gathering will be shaped by the season, so no two circles will be exactly alike. A typical circle may include:
Welcome Arrive early to settle in, explore the land, visit with the animals, grab a snack, and meet fellow participants.
Grounding A guided reflection to prepare for the day and set intentions, followed by a mindful nature walk to connect with the land.
Ceremonial Practice A guided ceremony, creative practice, or seasonal activity exploring the themes and rhythms of the season.
Embodiment &amp; Integration An immersive sound bath, somatic movement, yoga, meditation, or another body-based practice designed to support reflection and integration.
Community Time for sharing, conversation, and connection within a thoughtfully facilitated and welcoming space.

<h2>🌎 An Inclusive Space</h2>
Earth Rhythms Circle is open to adults 18+ of all identities and backgrounds.
All religious and spiritual backgrounds are welcome, including those who do not identify with a spiritual tradition. The circle is not based on any specific religion or set of beliefs.
You are always empowered to bring your full self, exactly as you are, and choose your own level of participation.

<ul><li>Yoga mat</li><li>Blanket and pillow for the sound bath (optional, but recommended)</li><li>Water bottle</li><li>Journal for reflection</li><li>Comfortable clothing and layers for both indoor and outdoor activities</li></ul>
Doors will open at 12:45pm to allow you time to settle before we start at 1:00pm. <h2>🌕 Sunset Reset: Somatics &amp; Sound</h2>

As the sun begins to set over the fields at Heirloom East Bay, join us for an evening of movement, rest, and resonance beneath the open sky.
This 90-minute immersive experience begins with gentle somatic and grounding movement to help release tension, reconnect to the body, and regulate the nervous system. From there, you’ll be guided into a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra meditation before settling into an immersive sound bath designed to invite stillness, softening, and deep rest.
Surrounded by nature, animals, fresh air, and the quiet rhythm of the farm, this is an invitation to slow down, tune inward, and reconnect — with yourself, your breath, and the land beneath you.
What might become clearer when you give yourself permission to pause? What can you notice when you stop trying to figure everything out?
Whether you are seeking calm, clarity, restoration, or simply a pause from the pace of daily life, this evening is designed to help you reset and return home to yourself.
