• Pedestrian Killed In Castro Valley Hit-And-Run Crash; Suspect Arrested: CHP (patch.com) — Castro Valley residents are reeling after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run Thursday afternoon at Somerset and Anita avenues, despite officers' efforts to save him. CHP investigators quickly traced a white Chevrolet Tahoe to a Castro Valley address and arrested a 63-year-old man on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in death, and are asking witnesses to come forward with any additional information.
