Rebates do not cover monthly monitoring fees, subscriptions, service contracts or incidental expenses, according to the city. Labor and installation costs are eligible only if they are included in the hardware purchase price and are not separately itemized.

Applicants must submit a completed, signed application within 60 days of purchasing the equipment. Purchases must be dated July 1, 2026, or later.

Applications must include a receipt or paid invoice and proof of installation.

Residential applicants must also provide proof of residency, while business applicants must submit a copy of a valid Artesia business license.

Applicants seeking rebates for cameras must submit images showing the installed cameras’ views of public-facing areas. Cameras must also have a minimum resolution of 1080p and allow users to retain and access footage for at least seven days. Applicants must provide proof of registration with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Camera Registry at connectlosangelescounty.org.

Officials said registration does not give the city or Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department direct access to camera footage or live video feeds.

Funding is limited, and applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
