• Community colleges suddenly oppose plan to let them offer more bachelor's degrees (timesofsandiego.com) — Newly passed California bills will cap how many bachelor's degrees community colleges can add, but Cerritos College's president says the district should still be allowed six to eight new programs starting in 2028. For Cerritos-area students, that could mean more chances to earn workforce-focused four-year degrees close to home, even as other colleges worry the new rules may limit their growth.
